Protecting the environment is one of our main priorities. Our company ensures that it complies with environmental legislation and national regulations, and our main concern is to reduce our environmental footprint responsibly. In 2020 we decided to include all our environmental actions into a single action plan we called Create A (new) Planet.
We make a consious effort to conserve natural resources by recycling cartons, paper, batteries, vehicle batteries and other machinery. We have placed recycling bins everywhere in the company and we are in the process of eliminating single-use plastics.
In 2021 we replaced the company's entire vehicle fleet with hybrid vehicles. These new vehicles respect the environment not only with low emissions but also with their silent running, contributing to the reduction of the greenhouse effect and to the orientation of the world toward a low-carbon future.
The offices and facilities of our Headquarters in Koropi are environmentally friendly. Apart from glass surfaces (for natural light) and LED lighting for energy conservation, we installed a solar photovoltaic system on our building roof in 2022. This allows us to convert solar energy into electricity and reduce our dependency on non-renewable energy sources (hydrocarbons), therefore contributing to a better future for future generations.
We always make sure that our products are transported in recyclable packaging, and we are also looking to collaborate with companies that produce environmentally friendly products.
